With the entries and nominations stage of the ACR News Awards in full swing, the industry’s leading names have begun putting the very best products, projects and individuals into contention.

The event – organised by ACR News magazine publisher, Datateam Business Media – has been the standard of industry recognition since 1997. The next iteration of the ACR News Awards is set to be no different, with a host of exciting new categories being introduced for the 2020 scheme.

The latest brand to announce their support of the event is market leader, BITZER: Having made contributions to the air conditioning and refrigeration sector for over 80 years, the company use perfection and precision to shape their operations. With specialist skills and lots of passion, the business promotes its developments in compressor technology to fulfil its responsibilities as a market leader.

Speaking on BITZER’s decision to support the scheme, managing director Kevin Glass explains: “The ACR News Awards is an established highlight of the industry calendar that showcases the examples of good practice that we hope will inspire the next generation of engineers and designers, on whom the future of this industry depends.”

He continues: “The ACR News Awards puts a much-needed focus on excellence, in terms of both technology and customer service – values which reflect our own priorities as a company.”

The categories on offer at this year’s event have been specifically designed to reflect the vibrant and ever-changing nature of the air conditioning and refrigeration sector, with the prestigious Alan Moor Award returning for 2020 as a staple of industry recognition. Created to reward the hard work of an individual, whose contributions to the sector often go unnoticed, Kevin explains BITZER’s special relationship with the accolade: “We are particularly proud that the event honours Alan Moor through the award established in his name. For those who never knew him, Alan was a former BITZER managing director who contributed much to the industry through his work and personality. He is fondly remembered by his colleagues and many friends.”

With entries open, now is the time to get involved with the event. Entering into the running for any of the categories on offer at the ACR News Awards is a breeze. Simply submit your entries via the dedicated Awards website, providing supporting material where necessary.

Entries and nominations are free of charge and can be submitted until 27 September 2019.

The ACR News Awards has also received the backing of Carrier, CIAT, Hawco, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Refrigeration Wholesale and Toshiba for this year’s event.
